La Dordogne - Near Bergerac - Chateau les Merles
This is a beautiful and historical chateau dating back to 1677. During the early 19th century it was in habited by one of Napoleon's Generals, Baron Mesclop who had it largely rebuilt to the way we see it today. The Chateau has been completely restored by its present owners over the last few years. It now offers 4 luxurious self-catering apartments. The Chateau is located on the edge of the village of Tuilieres on the Dordogne river. It is 15 kms east of Bergerac on a 45 acre estate on the edge of the Liorac forest. It sits in an elevated position and therefore enjoys beautiful views over the valley of the Dordogne.
The estate includes a three thousand metre, nine hole, par thirty-five golf course. This challenging course has water hazards, and bunkered greens, making it suitable for players of all levels. There is also a putting green and a driving range. Residents at the Chateau have the full use of all the amenities including the large swimming pool. Nearby are riding stables and canoeing. Your hosts can arrange Chateau visits, and wine tastings as well. This is a beautiful spot to relax, and also a great base from which to visit the sights of the Perigord, including Bergerac, the Bastide towns, such as Monpazier, and the beautiful medieval town of Sarlat.

Has 4 double bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. It has a large sitting room with fireplace, which is furnished with antiques. Fully equipped Kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, stove, refridgerator, Washing machine. Library.

East Wing - OWNERS APARTMENT - (Sleeps 8)
Has 2 double bedrooms both with en-suite bathrooms, and 2 twin bedded rooms with ensuite shower. Fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, microwave, stove, refridgerator, and washing machine. Large drawing room with fireplace. Nicely furnished with antiques.

APPARTEMENT DU GOLF - (Sleeps 2)
Spacious open plan living room, exposed stone wall . Fully Equipped kitchen. One double bedroom. Bathroom. Opens to back of property. Looks onto swimming pool. Private terrace with garden furniture.

Price: 5,000 FF per week
APPARTEMENT DU JARDIN - (Sleeps 4)
Spacious open plan living room with fully equipped kitchen. One double Bedroom, one twin bedroom. Luxurious bathroom with Jacuzzi. Opens to rear of property and looks onto swimming pool. Private terrace with garden furniture.

Price: 7,700 FF per week
