Paris - Appartement Birague Sleeps
2+2 |
The Marais needs no introduction these days! Much of the area dates from the 16th
and 17th c, featuring narrow streets, fine architecture, boutiques, antiques shops,
restaurants, cafés. Strict building laws protects its authenticity. This is where
Parisians choose to wander on weekends! The centrepiece is, of course, La Place
des Vosges, the purest example of 17th C architecture, its arcade façade set around
a central park with trees and benches - great for a picnic lunch! Easy walking distance
to the Picasso and Carnavalet Museums, Bastille Opera, Ile St. Louis, Notre Dame,
Ile de La Cité and much more! Just down the road is a wonderful selection of specialist
food shops (baker, deli, cheese, fish, wine.) in the very best French tradition!
Located in a privileged position on rue de Birague, on the first floor of a well-kept
18th C building -within sight of the Place des Vosges - with boutiques, restaurants.
A delightful apartment (40 m2) recently entirely renovated and furnished with a
good standart while retaining character and charm, not to mention a touch of romance!
(Note! Low medieval ceilings 2m08) |
