This 16th century former dependant of the adjoining château has been delightfully
restored and furnished in elegant French country style. Many original features have
been retained including the flower-decked private cobbled passageway and stone stairways
at the rear of the house. A terrace at the front of the house provides the perfect
location for alfresco meals or a glass of local wine, and an opportunity to watch
very little of the world go by in this tranquil part of the Loire region. The local
town of Gennes on the river Loire provides most amenities, whilst the historic château
towns of Angers and Saumur are only a short drive away. One of the region's most
popular attractions is the exclusive Ecole Nationale d'Equitation, home to France's
Cadre Noir, famous for their dressage and evening performances around the world.
